Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

On this page you will find the answer to these questions:
Does my child need a seat too?
What should I wear and bring for my trip in the Grand Canyon?
What can I see at the Hoover Dam if I have a pacemaker and/or defibrillator implant?
Do you know of a discount hotel site?
What will the temperature be at the Grand Canyon during my trip?
What is your cancellation policy?
Where will I be picked up if I am staying at a private residence? How does this work?

Does my child need a reservation?
The same Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rule applies to our planes.   Any child under the age of two can sit on an adults lap and not be charged for the flight. However, it is always recommended that each person have their own seat with proper restraint systems.  Children over the age of two must have a reservation, too.

What should I wear and bring for my trip in the Grand Canyon?
Clothing - Remember you will be starting your hike on the rim of the canyon, near 7,000 feet, so the air will be cool in the early morning or in the evening. The temperatures in the canyon are very different the lower you go into the canyon, the hotter it gets. Shorts, a light shirt, and a windbreaker are recommended for the warmer months. Summer rains do occur n Arizona, too.
Footwear -Ankle support and traction are a must in the Grand canyon. Shoes should be comfortable, broken in, and laced up tight to keep our feet secure.
Hat -To keep your head covered up from the sun, and fill with water to pour over your head when it gets hot.
Sunglasses - Shields for your eyes is important for UV protection. The Arizona sun can be very strong.
Bandanna or scarf - Helps keep your neck cool when wet, lots of other handy uses, too.
Sunscreen / Chapstick - SPF 15 or better for the Arizona sun is very strong.
Light Day Pack - Only if you prefer to carry this - it is not necessary for the tours and optional on the hiking trips. (On hiking trips the guide carries a big pack for water, food, snacks, umbrellas and ponchos.)

What can I see at the Hoover Dam if I have a pacemaker and/or defibrillator implant?
You will be able to see everything at the Hoover Dam except the Generator Rooms at the bottom.

Do you know a hotel I could stay at for a reasonable price?
Yes, we have hotel information and reservation you can view by CLICKING HERE

What will the temperature be at the Grand Canyon during my trip?
The table below will give you a good idea on what kind of temperatures to expect when you visit the Grand Canyon. The "Rain" column indicates the amount of precipitation the canyon receives in the month. Measurements are in degrees Fahrenheit and inches. (Measurements in parenthesis are degrees Celsius and centimeters.)
