This
great adventure of the Grand Canyon West Rim located on the Haulapia
Indian Reservation is an unforgettable experience. The tour includes
an excursion from Las Vegas to the west rim in an air conditioned, comfortable
motor coach plus a helicopter ride to the canyon floor. You will descend
4,000 feet from the top of the rim down to the helicopter pads next
to the Colorado River that was once explored by the John Wesley Powell
Expedition in 1869. (Only five of the ten men made it this far down
the Colorado River.) Close your eyes and feel the history of this special
place. Here your pontoon boat and guide awaits you for an enjoyable
short boat ride on the Red River (Colorado). Not to worry, this is a
SMOOTH water ride. Returning to the rim at Guana Point overlooking the
canyon a BBQ lunch is prepared by the Haulapia Indians who's ancestors
first presence along the Colorado River dates back to 600 AD.
