Bryce Canyon

Ponderosa Canyon (elevation 8,800 feet - 2,682 meters)

The canyon received its name because growing below this point are the beautiful Ponderosa Pines. The multi-colored hoodoos framed by the hills covered with pine trees displays a one of a kind beauty.

Rainbow Point (elevation 9,115 feet - 2,778 meters)

In Bryce Canyon the oldest living thing, 1,800 year old Bristlecone Pine, lives at Rainbow Point. (This Bristlecone pine is young compared to the oldest one living in Eastern California at the age of 5,000+ years.) The Bristlecone Loop Trail is one mile (1.6 km) in length and will provide a close-up view of the trees.

Yovimpa Point

This point marks the edge of the Grand Staircase top step.
