Apache Trail Day Tour from Phoenix
Join us for a day on the legendary Apache trail. This is the only tour that will take you down the entire trail, (22 miles of dirt road). Experience the full or half day tour and see Arizona's first designated "Historic Highway". Don’t just take our word for it, here is what Theodore Roosevelt had to say about the Apache Trail.

This breathtaking road got its start as an Indian route and became the supply route for one of the first reclamation projects in the U.S. which is now a system of four desert lakes, the largest being formed by Roosevelt Dam at the end of the trail. The full day tour takes you to the ancient ruins of the Tonto National Monument where visitors can see fingerprints left by the Salado Indians who inhabited the area over 700 years ago.
Hold on to your hat as we creep up (or down) Fish Creek hill for an unforgettable view of the Superstition Mountain Wilderness. Then on to colorful Tortilla Flat and the ghost town of Goldfield where you’ll get picture perfect glimpses into Arizona's rambunctious past. This is featured in both our half day and full day excursions. Canyon Lake's Dolly Steamboat is available upon request for groups of 10 or more.
